Outcome

As the series progresses, the episodes not only raise the stakes internally within the team, but it also elevates their ability to bring in a new form of animation when it comes to the horror aspect of the X-Men universe and in the animated shows. This episode shows some major guts when it comes to the horror aspects, experimenting with body horror and showing some internal organs and blood in some shots. This really takes a gritty and disturbing turn in many ways, but it also brings a new definition to horror in the X-Men animated shows. A great Halloween-type episode and an episode where previous questions will be answered but also brings up new questions for the upcoming episode. While I'm very surprised that this episode was rated TV-PG, I enjoyed this episode in many ways with the animation taken for the horror sequences, the voice acting is as spectacular as the other episodes, especially a special shoutout to Jennifer Hale's dual performance as Jean Grey and Madelyn Prior a.k.a The Goblin Queen.
